Thank you for your interest in visiting the Headley-Whitney Museum. Self-guided tours of current and permanent exhibitions are available.
For the health and safety of visitors and staff, the Museum will follow all protocols including masking, social distancing, and sanitizing.
The Museum is open weekends, September 10 - November 14, 2021 on Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 10 am - 4 pm. Current Exhibition features Helene Steene, Alex K. Mason and Jennifer Roberts.
Group tours of the Shell Grotto & Library, as well as event rentals, are available by appointment only.
Parking is FREE, and is located in the lot through the main entrance and to the left.
The Headley-Whitney Museum of Art is located on Old Frankfort Pike in between Lexington & Midway, located right in the middle of beautiful horse country.
From Kentucky Route 4 (New Circle Road), take exit 6 onto KY 1681 (Old Frankfort Pike) toward Frankfort. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit to continue onto Old Frankfort Pike. The museum is located about 3.5 miles down the road on the right.
From Midway, the museum is located approximately 5.5 miles down KY 1681 toward Lexington. The destination will be on your left.
